At Acts of Compassion, we offer the opportunity for you to volunteer with turtles in Mombasa, Kenya. The purpose of this programme is to protect the marine environment in Kenya.

As a turtle conservation volunteer you will work alongside trained individuals and other volunteers to save this endangered species.

Volunteers will take part in the following:

Additionally you will work closely with local communities, conducting beach clean-ups, mangrove restoration and regular marine and sea turtle conservation projects.

• Beach patrols
• Tracking nesting activity
• Searching hatching nests
• Rescuing turtles
• Releasing older babies back into the ocean
• Collecting data from nesting females
• Rehabilitating sick and injured turtles
