Would you love to volunteer on a farm and get your hands dirty while you help people? If yes, then get involved in our program for gardening and food production. As a volunteer, you will be working with communities and schools to transfer your knowledge about crops and how they can be grown for personal or domestic use. There is a need for sustainable agriculture practices to increase food production in poor communities. Lack of sustainable agriculture practices has led communities to go hungry, which results in environmentally threatening activities. The main aim of this project is to support communities and schools in teaching agricultural skills for sustainable food production.
As a volunteer, you will work in either rural areas, or within Nairobi, to help families and schools grow their own food source and have nutrients that are required by the body. This project will also help unemployed youths to have an income of their own and also improve food security in their community.
